Dare to believe in yourself

Sometimes it is hard to have faith in our ablities.  We are all capable in some way or another.  Don't let the small things get your down or the harsh things others might say stop you.  Belive in yourself and your abilities - the only thing keeping you from where you want to be is yourself.

Avoid or confront

It's OK to do either as long as it is for healthy reasons and they are done with a lot of thought as to the consequenses.  Sometimes we avoid to keep from hurting others or ourselves.  Sometimes we do it to be deceptive.  When we confront we should do it from a respectful point of view and with the idea of helping others.

Leaning on others?

It's super important to get support from others and get help - but, be very careful to not lean too hard.  They might not be able to hold you up or they may not know that are suppposed to hold you up.  This could lead to a hard and unpleasant fall.  When you ask for help be sure to also figure out a way to do it yourself later.  Let them teach you to be stonger!

Payoff in wallowing?

What benefit do you get in wallowing in self pity?  Attention?  Comfort in the familiar?  Company from others who wallow, too?  Excuse to not change?  Excuse to not do the work you need to do to feel better?  You are strong and can do whatever it is that you need to do!  You can also ask for help.  You don't have to be alone.  Family and friends can and will help!

Drifting, Coping, Surviving, Thriving

It's all in perspective.  What is your viewpoint?  How do you talk about your life?  Is there hope or do you go around and complain about how rough you have it?  I understand.  Sometimes we just need some understanding from others that thing just aren't OK.  You can be in a rut and smiling, too.  It all in perspective.
